A study I have conducted was inspired in a recent project by Buff Motion and Dotto (check it here)
“João Pessoa is the name of my home town, also home of a curious type of flyer known as ‘lambe-lambe’ (roughly translated as “lick-lick” since it resembles gluing a large stamp that needs to be wetted).”

Animation – Main Letters
Each letter had its path individually animated, along with postion/scale/rotation.
- copied path group 2 or 3 time and set the line to dashed with 1px + a repeater;
- precomp + stroke layer styles to 1px and no fill + roughen edges effect;
- precomp again, set alpha matte to a grit texture + alpha noise effect.
Animation – Background
Background was composed by more simplistic animations of previous names the city had trough the years. Then repeated and spread across the canvas.
